Palestine Convoy - official departure
Now that the din of the World Cup is over, it is time to give visibility back to the courageous initiatives for the recognition of the Palestinian genocide and against the forgetting of this tragedy that the Israeli Zionist government would like.
A new convoy bringing medical support and essential supplies, this time over land, brings together citizens for whom human rights are worth every sacrifice. And they know what awaits them…
On 23 July 2026 at 6 pm, on the place de la République in Paris, Palestine Convoy officially set off: a citizen-led humanitarian and medical land convoy bringing together participants from several European countries. The initiative will cross the continent before continuing on to Palestine via Turkey, Iraq and Jordan, with the aim of bearing witness to international solidarity with the Palestinian people, delivering humanitarian aid and keeping attention on the situation in Palestine.
Led by activists who took part in earlier international initiatives, Palestine Convoy follows on from citizen mobilisations for respect for international law and the protection of civilian populations.
A highly symbolic and unprecedented route
The convoy will stop in particular in Sarajevo, before taking part, on 27 July, in the commemoration ceremonies for the Srebrenica genocide.
This stop is a high point of the journey. By linking the memory of Srebrenica to the current situation in Palestine, the organisers want to stress the importance of preserving the memory of mass crimes and to reaffirm their commitment to the protection of civilian populations and to respect for international law.
The convoy’s slogan sums up the approach:
“From one genocide to another, we take to the road.”
An international citizen mobilisation
Beyond its humanitarian dimension, Palestine Convoy aims to build an international mobilisation around several objectives:
- keeping attention on the situation of the Palestinian populations;
- highlighting the humanitarian situation in Palestine, in particular that of Palestinian detainees;
- recalling the principles of international humanitarian law;
- encouraging exchanges between associations, citizens and civil society actors all along the route.
Each stage of the convoy will include public meetings, gatherings, speeches and exchanges with local organisations.
