SLS complaint against Prof. Megarbane

SLS complaint against Prof. Megarbane

The Syndicat Liberté Santé is resuming its campaign to drain the swamp of “influencer doctors”. It is filing a complaint against Prof. Bruno Megarbane, officially revealed today as the 5th charlatan.

Relying on the Public Health Code and the Code of Medical Ethics, the Syndicat Liberté Santé (SLS) accuses Prof. Megarbane of having repeatedly violated his “duty of caution in his public statements in mass-audience media”. The SLS has therefore just filed a complaint with the Disciplinary Chamber of the Île‑de‑France Regional Medical Council, asking it to bring disciplinary proceedings against Bruno Megarbane for his numerous breaches of the rules of medical ethics.

Prof. Megarbane, head of the intensive care department at the Lariboisière hospital in Paris, became a fixture of television and radio studios during the Covid crisis. He tirelessly stoked fear and campaigned for, among other obsessions, mask-wearing as a supposed guarantee against infection, “vaccination” supposed to protect against transmission, the advisability of forcing the reluctant to get “vaccinated”, and the urgency of injecting children, while denying the large number of serious adverse effects caused by the experimental injections.

Rushing assiduously from one studio to another, Bruno Megarbane notably set out personal theories at which one does not know whether to laugh or cry, but whose consequences he will have to bear. Among this doctor’s media highlights — he specialises in intensive care and toxicology — one will remember what has been dubbed the “homing virus” theory. He had indeed asserted on several television channels that “the virus, when it comes up against vaccinated individuals, prefers to go towards unvaccinated individuals” (Public Sénat 01/12/2021), insisting again on CNews, “the virus, when it circulates, will preferentially go towards unvaccinated people”.

One will also remember his insistence on promoting the vaccination of children against COVID. Not hesitating to play the triple role of sales rep for the vaccine manufacturers, prescriber and oracle, Prof. Megarbane repeated that the spread of the virus was driven by the unvaccinated and by 5‑11-year-olds (CNews 06/12/2021). Relying on the manufacturer’s statements, he promoted Pfizer’s injection for children even before it was authorised in Europe: “the Pfizer laboratory has completed its study, the vaccine is perfectly effective and well tolerated in children aged 5 to 11” (LCI 11/04/2022). He then asserted, without any oratorical caution, that there was “a real individual benefit for the child in getting vaccinated (against COVID)” (Public Sénat 01/12/2021) because “vaccinated children will not fall ill” (RT France 06/12/2022).

The hazy “homing virus” theory

In this extract from one of his appearances on the Public Sénat channel, Bruno Megarbane tries to frighten parents and the unvaccinated, the latter being accused of being responsible for the emergence of new variants, on the strength of his theory of the virus “that seeks out the unvaccinated”.

With this complaint, the SLS lawyers are continuing a campaign begun in 2023 to indict nine media doctors, designated as “the 9 charlatans”. André Grimaldi, Karine Lacombe, Gilbert Deray and Jérôme Marty are the four charlatans already facing a complaint before the Disciplinary Chambers to which they are answerable. They all presented themselves as experts during the COVID crisis. All neglected their duty of caution and used the authority conferred by their white coats to exploit the fear and credulity of the public. Jérôme Marty, for example, can rival Bruno Megarbane in the “famous and hazy” category, with his mathematico‑medical theory: “we actually have thousands of years of hindsight on these vaccines, when you add up, so to speak, the time of each person who has been vaccinated. These are vaccines that are safe vaccines. To tell you that there won’t be things that appear, side effects, in years and years, clearly we don’t know.”

The list of charges brought by the SLS against the charlatan doctors is long: exploiting public credulity and practising charlatanism, lack of caution and failure to comply with the obligation to provide fair and honest medical information, failure to update one’s knowledge before speaking in public, failure to declare one’s conflicts of interest, discrimination and lack of collegiality, undermining the honour and probity of their profession. The disciplinary procedure under way before the Medical Council is long and complicated.

The Syndicat Liberté Santé, created to defend the rights of French healthcare workers suspended following the vaccination obligation of 5 August 2021, is pursuing an objective of public interest here. It intends to defend the honour of the medical profession by reminding Prof. Megarbane and the other doctors under indictment of their ethical duties and of the oath they took. The SLS campaigns for medicine with a human face, which respects ethics and patients.

BAM has obtained an exclusive interview with Lison Brugnon, president of the SLS, and Philippe Prigent, the lawyer in charge of the complaint against Prof. Megarbane. A video interview to be released tomorrow morning, Thursday 12/12/2024, on our networks.
