Fauci in a state over the States?
Although Anthony Fauci was pardoned at the last minute by Biden before he left the White House, a BAM article published on 21 January[1] pointed out that this procedure in no way prevents prosecution at state level, since the president can only pardon federal crimes and offences.
Immediately, numerous requests for criminal investigations against Fauci were filed in Florida, Texas and Louisiana.
The start of a long series? Other states, such as Idaho, seem about to follow suit…
Florida
On 26 October 2023, Vires Law Group (Florida) filed an official request with the Florida Attorney General to open a criminal investigation into Dr Anthony Fauci and five other officials. The complaint, based on the testimony of 32 families, accuses them of contributing to the deaths of patients through what it considers inadequate management of the pandemic (COVID-19), by imposing “countermeasures” and vaccines described as dangerous and administered without informed consent. Among other things, the request alleges potential second-degree murder, aggravated abuse, manslaughter and racketeering. The lawyers are asking the Attorney General to investigate to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to justify indictments before a grand jury and a criminal trial.

Texas
Vires Law Group, in partnership with the Chris Byrd Law Firm and with the support of the Former Feds Group Freedom Foundation, has filed requests with the district attorneys of twenty-two Texas counties asking them to open criminal investigations into Dr Anthony Fauci and several other officials. The charges include homicide (murder, manslaughter), human trafficking and engaging in organised criminal activity, before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. On behalf of 46 families who believe that hospital protocols and the withholding of life-saving treatments contributed to the deaths of loved ones, the lawyers are also asking Attorney General Ken Paxton to prosecute these officials under the Texas Penal Code.

Louisiana
Vires Law Group, assisted by Edward L. Tarpley Jr. and the Former Feds Group Freedom Foundation, has filed requests with the district attorneys of nine Louisiana parishes (the equivalent of counties) to open criminal investigations into Dr Anthony Fauci and other federal officials.
They are accused of various crimes (murder, human trafficking, kidnapping, etc.) allegedly committed before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The charges relate in particular to hospital protocols and the withholding of treatments, considered deadly or harmful. Financial support comes from, among others, the Diamond Mind Foundation and the PAC Fight Like A Flynn, and the district attorneys, as well as Attorney General Liz Murrill, are being asked to investigate on behalf of the families of victims of these alleged practices in Louisiana hospitals and nursing homes.

Idaho
In a resolution of 23 January, the Idaho Legislature points out that the federal pardon has no bearing on judicial proceedings or investigations at state level, and that any prosecution for state offences would be governed by Idaho law. The resolution thus aims to make clear that, despite the federal pardon he received, Dr Fauci remains answerable under state law.
While, for the time being, Dr Fauci has not been charged with any crime in Idaho, these clarifications look very much like an encouragement to citizens to bring proceedings… which should not be long in coming.

Trump ends Fauci’s protection detail
Donald Trump announced that he had withdrawn the security detail Dr Fauci had enjoyed for several years because of death threats against him: “ You can’t have protection for the rest of your life just because you worked for the government ”, Donald Trump explained. Trump’s former White House national security adviser, John Bolton, and his former top diplomat, Mike Pompeo, were subject to similar measures: “ They all made a lot of money, they can hire private security ”, the US president said, before adding: “ I can give them the numbers of some very good security people ”.
