Les Effets Boomerang

Les Effets Boomerang

In our BAM déLIVRE section, devoted to books published without promotional backing, we interviewed GUILHEM MÉRIC. His book, LES EFFETS BOOMERANG, recounts the context of his covid vaccination, the worsening side effects, his medical odyssey, the doctors’ denial, and the solidarity between victims, more and more of whom are joining forces to break the wall of silence…

BAM! - VALÉRIE

Guilhem, you are a French novelist and screenwriter. An artist at heart, you are also a musician and illustrator. Since 2021, you have suffered serious side effects caused by the Pfizer pseudo‑vaccine against covid, and this has completely turned your life upside down. You have written a testimony that touched me deeply, in which you recount your repeated medical wanderings and the enormous impact of these serious vaccine effects on your life. You also recount — and it is captivating! — your three years of investigation to try to understand what happened. My first question is a very simple one: how are you today, after these three years?

GUILHEM

It depends on the day. Some symptoms appear, then disappear. It is a bit like some kind of lottery. The problem is that the various conditions I have collected along the way take a toll on my morale.

Medical odyssey, doctors’ denial

VALÉRIE

Can you tell us about these vaccine-related conditions and about the doctors you consulted who cannot or will not diagnose them?

GUILHEM

In my book "Les Effets boomerang", I tried to summarise it. It happened over a very long period, in the end. I want to say that basically I am not anti‑vaccine. I was vaccinated like everyone else, against hepatitis B for example; I never asked myself any questions. As far as I was concerned, prophylaxis was a good thing. It was only with the arrival of these products, these covid "vaccines", that I became reluctant.

My partner at the time had a cousin who was a nurse, who told me: “It’s nothing, it’s no big deal. On the contrary, you have to go, it will protect everyone, it will protect you.” The usual spiel, entirely commendable at the time, from a nurse who had no reason to doubt these products. So I went, in June 2021.

A few weeks after the vaccination, I started having little problems. neuropathic problems, strange sensations in my hands and feet, dry skin, pain. And I was losing weight, a strange muscle wasting that nobody could explain. I now had difficulty using my hands. I had trouble even cutting meat or peeling a piece of fruit. It hurt my fingers.

I was supposed to help my girlfriend strip the wallpaper at her place, but I could no longer use my hands; it was too painful. I did not understand what was happening to me. It was summer; at the beach I could no longer walk on the sand, it hurt. The bumps in the sand, the shells, everything hurt. I had to wear boots to protect myself and walk along the water’s edge.

Gradually, fatigue set in. Over the months, it grew worse. With all these problems piling up, I ended up going to see a neurologist. The first neurologist in a long series. And the first ones I saw found everything normal. They did EMGs on me, which were normal. So I looked elsewhere. On social networks, I talked with people who had neurological problems. And they told me that there was a small fibre neuropathy that matched my symptoms. I then underwent other types of tests, including a Sudoscan, which showed that my adrenal glands were affected, and which made it possible to identify a small fibre neuropathy.

But the neurologists kept looking for the causes. For me, the cause was obvious, since it had started a few weeks after the Pfizer injection. Every time I asked a neurologist the question, he would tell me: “No, no, if it had been the vaccine, your problems would have started in the first days after vaccination, not after a few weeks.” A claim that was subsequently regularly disproved, since in a great many people vaccine problems appeared beyond the first days after the injection.

We have no hindsight on these products. They were administered to the population in a hurry, without knowing their medium- and long-term effects. So I asked myself why a neurologist would allow himself to state this with such assurance. Later, I showed him studies, those of Dr Jean‑Marc Sabatier and those of other scientists, which showed the link between covid vaccination and small fibre neuropathy. He leafed through the document with an absent-minded air and… he laughed in my face, telling me: “It’s not for you to teach me my job!”

Small fibre neuropathy was the first of my post‑vaccination conditions. Then came myalgic encephalomyelitis. The recent clinical diagnosis I was able to obtain from an internist confirmed the suspicions of the first doctor who had given me a test.

VALÉRIE

In everyday language, this is called "chronic fatigue"?

GUILHEM

Yes, "chronic fatigue syndrome". But as there are many other diseases that cause chronic fatigue, it is more accurate to say encephalomyelitis, because in this case there are brain lesions that are revealed by PET scan or PET‑MRI. It is a disease that causes a great deal of fatigue, very disabling post-exertional malaise (PEM), a lot of muscle weakness, shortness of breath, digestive problems, constipation… a whole range of problems.

VALÉRIE

Why did you want to write this testimony? Admittedly, you are a novelist, so writing comes naturally. But beyond that, what was your aim?

GUILHEM

It is the testimony of an ordinary person — even if I am somewhat known — written in the form of an investigation that tries to understand what we have all been through, the leaden weight that fell on us, the pandemic, the lockdowns, the fear that took hold of the population and, all of a sudden, when the vaccines arrived, the eagerness of many to get vaccinated as quickly as possible… In this context, and citing my sources, I recount how, following my vaccination, over time, even without having caught covid, I felt more and more abnormal and disabling things in my body.

Family, friends, the fraternity of victims

VALÉRIE

Did your family, your partner, your friends, or even your work colleagues support you? Did they believe what you were saying? Could you rely on them?

GUILHEM

Apart from my parents, I had very little support. At first my parents themselves thought it was psychosomatic. But they came to realise that my problems were real. Now I have their full support.

On the other hand, my friends and the rest of the family are almost all convinced that it is anxiety. A close friend has supported me from the start; he even drove me to the hospital in Marseille, and yet he does not believe in my health problems. He did it out of friendship, because he wants to do as much as possible for me. But according to him, there is no problem with the vaccine. He thinks like others who have laid into me since I talked about it on social networks. Like a journalist friend, or an author friend, they really laid into me. I fell out completely with another friend. And they themselves fell out with me because they do not understand why I support theories they consider conspiracist. They say that I shamelessly accuse laboratories or medicines that have saved millions of lives, and that I have no business expressing such opinions, since I myself am somewhat known and can influence people, and as (laughs) the famous Article 4 of the bill on sectarian abuses puts it, I could have a harmful influence on people regarding their own health.

VALÉRIE

And beyond their loved ones, how is the public voice of the victims of the injections received?

GUILHEM

At present, to speak publicly about what is happening to us, we victims have only the alternative media. In the three years since I was affected, I have met many other victims of the covid vaccines who have even more serious after-effects than mine. I am a member of the association AAVIC, which brings together both victims of the covid vaccines and victims of long covid (unvaccinated). I met its president, Mathieu, 39, who was himself diagnosed with myalgic encephalomyelitis after his vaccination. I met the vice‑president, Mélanie, 35, who developed Charcot’s disease after her vaccination. I met Julia, who had pericarditis directly after her vaccination and then ankylosing spondylitis; she is barely 38.

I could name I don’t know how many… Macha, who has become my little sister at heart, who appeared on TPMP a few months ago to talk about her post‑vaccination problems. She has collected problems. I could not even list them, there are so many. She recently had an epileptic seizure even though she has never been epileptic. With everything she is going through, I don’t even know how she manages to keep standing. In fact, she is now in a wheelchair; she can no longer get around. She is 35.

And Laure too, 44… I could name so many. In fact, we are all subjected to a double penalty. One, we are ill. Two, when we try to say that we are ill, we are censored. We are made invisible in all the media, except for that one time on TPMP with Macha’s testimony. We are subjected to an enormous omertà; nobody wants to talk about us. Not only are we suffering, but on top of that we are supposed to shut up.

Against silence and censorship

VALÉRIE

The voice of the victims seems to bother a lot of people. Yet there are many of you. The director of the European Medicines Agency, so not just anyone, said in March 2023 before the European Parliament that there had been 1.7 million side effects reported in Europe, which is a lot. Especially since we know — and this applies to all side effects of all medicines and vaccines — that the number of reports has to be multiplied by ten to get the right figure, since at least 90% of side effects are never reported.

GUILHEM

Yes, because reports to pharmacovigilance are not made systematically. Many doctors refuse to do it, even though they are supposed to report their patients’ side effects. So you have to make the report yourself. And most victims give up. So yes, there is under-reporting! Moreover, apart from a psychiatrist who confirmed that my problems were not psychiatric, none of the doctors I saw showed the slightest doubt about the covid vaccine. Yet my small fibre neuropathy occurred just after the vaccination. But they do not want to hear about it. The vaccine hypothesis is ruled out a priori. They have me do lots of different tests, in several hospitals. I have to travel between Montpellier, Nîmes and Marseille, several times, depending on the tests, to see where it might come from. And in the end, they see nothing. It is true that small fibre neuropathy is often idiopathic, meaning it has no determined cause. But the fact remains that in this case it happened just after the vaccination. So the least they could do would be to report it to pharmacovigilance.

I would like to know why, when it comes to the environment, the climate, fossil fuels, whistleblowers are listened to. And why, on the contrary, when it comes to a product like this vaccine, which was administered to us without any hindsight, the whistleblowers, who just want to know the extent of the problem, are branded conspiracy theorists and liars who must on no account be listened to? Why the double standard, when these are two equally important subjects, both of which affect our health?

Why is it not said that certain vaccines, notably the mRNA vaccines, have caused serious health problems in some people, which led to an immune runaway followed by diseases, pericarditis, autoimmune diseases, cancers, tinnitus, and so many other problems. I am not saying that this vaccine is a poison — if it were, everyone would be ill — but that it can also cause serious side effects, like Levothyrox or Vioxx, for example, which ultimately ended in scandal. Why would this particular vaccine be miraculously free of moderate to serious side effects, when so many victims are talking about them everywhere? Why is the voice of these victims censored? It is a disgrace!

And I forgot to talk about the deaths! There is an association, Les Désenfantés, created by Michèle Musso, who lost her daughter Eva, 30, immediately after vaccination, and whose testimony appears in Christine Cotton’s book. Far too many have seen their child die after vaccination. Like Frédéric Beltra, who lost his son Maxime, 22, and who founded the association Verity France. It is horrific to lose a child or a loved one, knowing that they may have been poisoned to death. When I hear their testimonies, I am devastated; I wonder how they manage to live with it.

Like Marc Doyer, whose wife Mauricette died of Kreutzfeld‑Jacob after the covid vaccine, and who is being called a conspiracy theorist and harassed. Macha too. Both of them have been harassed on social networks since they appeared in the mainstream media (TPMP). People do not realise. I know the number of victims who have been harassed since they spoke out. I myself am being harassed. Harassers exist, and some go very, very, very far.

VALÉRIE

We now know that the covid "vaccines" are the ones that have caused the most side effects since vaccines have existed. But for the political, media and scientific establishment, acknowledging that is a total impossibility. It would mean acknowledging that there had been such a huge failure that nobody would ever again believe science, the media or politics. It could turn into a scandal of a very high order.

GUILHEM

What is needed, precisely, is for the legal liability of the people involved in promoting these vaccines to be engaged: politicians, scientists, doctors, journalists… Moreover, if the voice of the many victims is not heard, if light is not shed on the side effects of these vaccines, distrust among the general population will grow and take lasting root. If the authorities persist in lying, if only by omission, the population will lose confidence in science and risk turning away from genuine vaccines for other diseases.

VALÉRIE

You were talking about the scientists who have shown the harmful role of the Spike protein, the cause of many side effects. Vaccine Spike, but also viral Spike. You had covid and you were vaccinated. What can you say about this double hit?

GUILHEM

Whether vaccinated or infected by the virus, we all have this Spike protein inside us. We now know that it was manufactured in a laboratory through gain of function. We also know that it does not stay at the injection site and does not disappear quickly, as we had falsely been told. On the contrary, it circulates in the body, settles there durably and has an impact on the vital organs. However, this varies from individual to individual, vaccinated or infected. No scientist, I believe, has a definitive answer on the different forms, durations and quantities of Spike persistence.

Why are some vaccinated or infected people seriously affected, others moderately, others not at all? Nobody has the answer yet. Do these disparities come from genetic differences? Neurological ones? And why is the immune system itself sometimes thrown off balance? In any case, the Spike protein keeps wandering around inside us until a possible antidote is found that will, hopefully, allow us to get rid of it.

The mRNA vaccines were announced as a major technological advance. In fact, it is a technology that has always ended in failure in the past. Dr Alexandra Henrion‑Caude talks about it in her book.

VALÉRIE

You say so many important things in your book… I have one last question. After everything that has happened to you, how do you see the future?

GUILHEM

Today, I cannot find work. Full-time work is impossible for me. I am recognised as a disabled worker by the MDPH (Maison Départementale des Personnes Handicapées), which allows me to get a little help from France Travail. But it is complicated to find part-time work. Especially at my age, 53. Recruiters prefer young people who are full of energy and can give their all. Now I have neither youth nor energy. So I live with my parents, who… are getting on. Almost 80, and they are starting to have health problems.

I keep writing, but books are not enough to give me a living. I am in a precarious situation. And it is difficult to react. The slightest effort forces me to stop and catch my breath. My life has been turned completely upside down. I do not know what tomorrow will bring. I try to stay positive, to tell myself that discoveries will come and truths will come out. That way, we victims will be able to be recognised and perhaps treated, cured, who knows.

Recognition of our ailments is what we ask for when we testify. In response, TikTok, or Facebook and all the others, censor us and ban us. We are forced to encode our words to avoid their censorship. Imagine how ridiculous it is to write or say "pic‑pic" instead of vaccination and "coco" instead of covid. We have to avoid the touchy words so as not to be spotted by the algorithms. Facebook, for example, lets others hurl the worst insults, slander, harassment and attacks. Even when they are reported, Facebook does not react. On the other hand, all it takes is for us to say "vaccines", "mRNA"… and Facebook immediately removes the video or the post. Even scientists who publish scientific data about us are censored. It is unbearable; this has to change at all costs.

VALÉRIE

Do you have anything to add?

GUILHEM

With "Les Effets boomerang", I tried to write a book that is easy to read, not like the thick books I usually write. Here it is a testimony.

VALÉRIE

That is what makes it interesting. I really advise people to read it, because it is unique to read a testimony, week after week and month after month, of what happened to you, a victim of the covid "vaccine" who is neither a scientist nor a doctor but (even if you have a certain renown as an artist) an ordinary man or woman in the street, connected with people, all of us, the people.

GUILHEM

Yes, I wrote it both for myself and for others. For all the victims.

VALÉRIE

Thank you, Guilhem.
