Three little words about the myocarditis cases that (almost) do not exist

Three little words about the myocarditis cases that (almost) do not exist

While myocarditis is gradually being recognised as a side effect of the COVID vaccine, the CDC (a body supposed to protect the population) is trying to show that COVID causes more myocarditis…
Hélène Banoun, pharmacist, biologist and researcher, shows that this is not the case.

“The absolute risk of myocarditis after Covid infection is almost non-existent for a healthy young person, but it is not negligible for a young person vaccinated against Covid” [...] “we showed that the virus causes very little myocarditis, in any case not in young people. The publications cited showed that in France myocarditis cases began to increase with the period when young people were vaccinated.”

“The risk relative to the general population will therefore be infinitely lower since, in the vast majority of young people, Covid does not lead to hospital: the absolute number of myocarditis cases in young people will therefore be very low. On the other hand, in countries where adolescents were massively vaccinated, the absolute number of myocarditis cases will be significant.”

“Between March 2020 and January 2021, the CDC concludes that there is a 7.5 times higher risk of myocarditis in a young person aged 16 to 39 (sex not specified) if they have Covid than if they have not been infected. To make an exact comparison with the post-vaccination risk, data would be needed for the same age groups, which is not the case for the CDC’s pharmacovigilance data. We can get close to it with the results of a June 2021 report”

“This result is unequivocal and should have been enough to close the debate. One can assume that the excess vaccine risk is even higher, since the CDC has certainly not underestimated the risk of myocarditis after Covid, whereas the vaccine risk is no doubt underestimated because of the under-reporting of spontaneous adverse effects.”

“But the results of a Swiss study are even more alarming, with 2.8% of mRNA-vaccinated people developing clinical or subclinical myocarditis (detected by specific markers of cardiac inflammation). This study of healthcare staff, who are therefore young and healthy, shows that women are more affected than men

Thai doctors followed a cohort of 301 adolescents aged 13 to 18 after their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Cardiovascular effects were recorded in 29% of participants: tachycardia, shortness of breath, palpitations, chest pain, hypertension. One case of myocarditis was confirmed (0.33% of participants) and 6 subclinical myo/pericarditis cases (2% of participants).”
